Disco 1 Heated windscreen....crap?

Works fine to demist but hopeless on hard frost heaters clear the screen before the heated screen does anything except draining the battery...normal?

I wouldn't say that, but it takes it time, its good clearing snow though, but it is an old design from 20 years+ ago.
My modern car the frost starts disappearing straight away after switching on.
As u say with the disco's the heater on full blowing up to the screen clearing the frost is quicker, takes 3 minutes in my case and hard frost on the screen is melting, it takes me that time scraping the side windows.
Rear screen seems to melt frost ok, I have noticed an issue so works for me.

So Normal.. but draining the battery isn't, as the heated screen only works with the engine running, the same as the heated seats.
