Hi Craig, no, I don't think they would fit as they are for Disco I.

But why would you be interested in them, at £145 when you can buy the correct pair for nearly one third of that price ??? I am missing something :(

It's me age guv'r

Cheers
Dave

there the only pair of lights that i have seen and i was just wondering weather would they fit mine. you live in france is paddocks where you got yours from or did you get your disco out there with the lights already on

Hi Craig
Have a look at this link Rimmer Bros would like £49.51 inc vat for their genuine-parts headlamp but they do a patten one for a bit less.

The Paddock ones must also be patten jobs at £28.78 inc vat, why they also have a LHD head lamp at £34.66 inc vat I don't know.

Hi Dave
How can any one ask for £145 + p&p for D1 lights? he's a Joker so I must tell Batman. :)

Early D2 headlamps fit the 300 series D1 there was bit in LRO about it a few years ago. They are supposed to give more light and a more defined beam as the back of the black surround is silver therefore returning any stray light back on to the reflector.
That's the theory.

I will stay with the upgrade bulbs.

Regards

Hi Discool, Paddocks only have one price for LHD headlights at £29.50+vat.

The cheaper ones are Right Hand Drive.

Hi Craig, I bought mine(for a Tdi 300, LHD ones !!) off ebay UK a couple of years before moving to France but two different friends locally have ordered the Paddock ones (again Tdi 300) and as far as I can tell they are identical in every way to their original ones, except of course LHD.

I fitted both sets and had NO bother at all.

Cheers Dave

Even cheeper. Get those little thingys that you stick to your headlights for when your driving on the continent. Probably less than a tenner. Halfords??

I think that if I was driving on RH side of the road for three years or so I would like my headlights to dip and to light up the RH kerb which UK lamps don't when dipped.
Yep. The stick-on thingys stop you dazzling other people but they do restrict your range of vision quite a bit. And with all those empty country roads out there in the real world you DO need all your vision! If you are thinking of re-registering the vehicle in Germany they might not pass the TÜV (MoT) either.:)

If registering in France, thse stick-on things won't wash come Contrôle Technique time.
