headlight surrounds....

hey guys, Ive got an ex army 1979 series 3, I bought a pair of headlight surrounds, the metal squares that go round each headlight, but they dont seem to fit, and when I had a look at some pictures of other ex army series 3's none of them seem to have the surrounds, so just wonderd if any of you can tell me how to fit them, or if they even should be fitted, thanks for your time...

Military Land rovers don't have headlight surrounds, but I'm sure you could fit them, it's only 4 self tappers per surround. Fit them so that the slots line up with the headlight adjusters.

thanks for the reply spyderman, dont know if military landys have differnt headlights to normal series 3's but the surrounds dont fit at all, the headlights are too big, I guess I could make them fit by cutting them, but if you say its the norm for them not to have them don't think I'll bother...
