Well. an interesting fault.
after about 10mins the LH headlight goes out. Dash display warns of this and i turn off and turn on the lights again and then all is fine for another 10 mins (approx).

Any ideas?

thanks...

Sounds like a heat problem with either the bulb itself or likely the connector. Once I found a bulb had a dry solder joint. It would stay lit for a short time and go out. Then it would come back on a few minutes later, then heat up & go out.

Was a cheapy and I spotted the solder was dry, a grey matt colour as opposed to silvery shiny coloured.

But if it's taking ten minutes, sounds like the heat is taking time to build so likely the push on connector at the back of the bulb. Check for grotty green/yellow build up.

Remove from bulb, spray with contact cleaner, use brass wire brush to get grot off and if you have a nail file, clean the contacts before replacing on the bulb pins.

Many thanks.
Bulbs are original, so will give that my first look.
Strange that when i turn light switch off and then straight back on it works for another approx 10 mins...
Thanks.

If they are Xenons I'd also check the ballasts.....

Be warned my lamps started playing silly buggers...then one lamp blew and took out the vehicle diagnostic systems....read my thread about it....still to this day I have not figured that one out.

Sh1t...I had better get on to this and change the bulb out...
Many thanks and thnaks for the how do.

Off to the bay of e to get some bulbs...
cheers
