P38A Head Gasket gone - Anyone want a dead 4.6

Hello All, well the head gasket has gone on my 4.6 so she's dead
The car is in London SE17 but can be driven a short distance ( 5 miles ) if you carry enough water!
I've got the wheels and tyres on evilbay item number 222124216152
Was running lovely up until it went - P reg 188K - LPG all working - nice black leather interior
I removed the front prop shaft as it failed but have a good used one at home - never got round to fitting it
It's in my work car park so i can't break it where it is but if anyone wants the whole car please pm me with a mobile number and I'll txt over some photos - Ian

Why not fix the head gasket?

Hello Chap, I'd love to do it myself but haven't got the time so she has to go - I did ask Dakar's in Swanley for a quote but they, as I expected, said not worth the £££ to bring her back to life

Mud Flaps falling off too ??

Ha ha yes she has a saggy rear end!

Ummm...about £450 up here to have them done. £100 approx & a couple of days to do yourself.

Yes Dakar's were concerned about the liners too ( which i don't know a great deal about to be honest )

There are so many being scrapped you'll be lucky to get £100 for 4 wheels with decent tyres. Know someone who just gave up in the end and took them down the tip.

The job isn't difficult but it does take time the first time. Think you'd hear the liners tapping. Maybe someone on here could pop round to help fix it for the right bribe!

Well if anyone one here wants to quote me to repair it I'd be delighted - I've transferred the breakdown cover to my new car so moving this could be a problem!

How did they diagnose the head gasket failed?

Not sure my missus will allow another one on the drive, at least until the L322 gets sold !!

But I should have access to a trailer after the weekend.

OK which bit of London its a big dirty place if you spoke to Dakar you must be close to me I can check if it hg gone and have a mate who is a landrover independent not to far in westkingsdown if it helps
