I'm not special I'm limited edition
I have my MOT coming up on thursday and have decided to change my track rod ends and drop arm ball joint as they are over 3 years old now. I bought my HD steering bars from paddocks after bending my standard bars on Salisbury plain. Does anyone know if the thread for the track rod ends is the same on the HD bars as it is on the standard bars?

I can either say sod it and change the whole lot bars and ends or just replace the track rod ends. Ideally I'd like to fit greasable ends again but I can't find em on paddocks site, their ask a question function doesn't seem to want to allow anyone to ask a question as it won't let me submit it and my phonecall wasn't answered when I tried yesterday and again earlier today.

Cheers all.:)

Gwyn Lewis does the heaviest duty steering bars and greasable track rod ends on the market.
I've had quite a bit off him now and find his products are pretty damn good. Not bad prices either.

I has a brand new HD Trackrod with track rod ends. I will have a look later and let you know.

Cheers mate:)

The only greasable track rod ends I have found have been on ebay and they have a different thread and were summit like £35.

I have a spare set of standard steering bars with track rod ends lying around but as the HD bars and ends are £78 versus £15 for just the ends I was thinking about replacing just the ends and adding grease nipples. I want to keep the standard set I already have as emergency spares and can set em up to use em as a template to set the HD bars too to save having to get the tracking re-done.

Think the track rod ends are just standard other than the link to the drop arm if steering damper is on the front has a reverse thread, and also the rear drag link has one standard and one reverse threaded track rod it's just the bars that are heavy duty

Ring Gwyn direct if it's the price that's putting you off. He openly admits to loading the price of his eBay items to cover eBay costs.
I've always brought from over the phone - much cheaper.
