hazard/indicator problem

I have a "L" reg defender 90 a fault has occurred with my indicators switching on the hazards,
the hazards work ok from the switch
I have recently fitted a new hazard switch as the old one failed
not sure if this is a relay problem or the hazard switch again.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the hazard switch or the indicator stalk switch. The flasher unit (it's not actually a relay) just does the flashing - it either works or it doesn't. My money's on the hazard switch.

I'd go for the new switch, I had the same problem, I bought a genuine lr in the end.
