Have a Pre-Facelift? Do Me a Favour Please...

If you have a pre facelift can you do me a favour please...

Can you measure the front numberplate recess (in mm) as accurately as possible, width and height please?

Would be extremely grateful

There are 3 bumpers though...... I will get the tape out in a little while for ya. Mine is the non v6 early type with the separate top bar of the grille.

How different are they in terms of where the numberplate mounts?
If you can measure it it'd be great thanks.

Picture 1, the number plate is mounted on a bit of the bumper the same rough size

Picture 2 hard to tell as it slopes a few mm but measured the recess

Looks like Kizzeh's bumper is the same as mine though

And it ain't a recess it is a outtie!

Hadn't realised that the early bumper was that much different to the changed design from the td4 etc. before the facelift came into being!

V6 bumper is a little different.
Hope it's helpful.

Looks like pre 2000 bumpers with Amber indicators are like mine. Clear indicator post 2000 4 cylinder are the same as the picture with red lines and the 6cylinder is the same style as 2000on but with a bit more depth....

Nowt like making things similar and easy!

Working out positioning of the winch brackets on the early pre-facelift for Lukas (winu) without buying a front end from a written off Freelander Needs to sit around his a-bar too, so nothing like an easy job done 1500 miles away from the actual car its going on

Simon, we should name that kind of developing - "Correspondence developing" , but now we're on level 2. I don't that car too, so it's a little bit harder now
