P38A Harmon Kordon Boot unit

Hi, I have the above in the boot of my DHSE, and do not know if it can be tested. the two speakers on the top are tatty round the edges but I believe that they can be replaced for a few pounds. I am missing the disc player but I will replace this Radio works ok and controls on wheel work. I know nothing about electrics, so any help would be appreciated.

I replaced the foam rings that hold the speaker cones in place a while back. Fairly simple job and worth doing if the speakers are otherwise ok, cones in good shape and they move in and out nicely

There is a guy on Google (give me a minute to find it) who can test the amp unit fully. But it is about £35 plus postage plus any basic repairs. But if you've got sounds coming out of the radio ok and you can control the F+R, L+R, then it is probably working ok.

This is the guy I tried, just to tell me my amp was only good as a doorstop.!
