Happy to be back in a Land Rover

hey there I’m chris, based in wotton under edge, joined a week or so ago and have just been scrolling through the forum reading up on tips and advice refreshing myself on Landy ownership.

Had had a defender 90 10+ years ago for work and loved it and then when I went freelance(and had children) had a discovery 300tdi for a couple of years.

After a break exploring fast saloons and soft roaders(yes I know a BMW X5 isn’t a real 4x4) I decided to get myself a motorbike for the speed fix and im back in a 300tdi.

I bought a 1995 discovery 300tdi last week and have already got a list full of things I would like to do so gradually this will transform into something different over the next few months/years.

And with a bit of bribery on the misses will hopefully have a defender 110 on the drive by the end of the year also.

Anyway look forward to learning and sharing experiences with you all.

Thanks. I did look at a D3 but couldn’t shake the need for a D1 300tdi. The added bonus is I got a manual this time not the auto.

So not just a D1 300tdi owner any more. Will be picking up a P38 4.6 hse on Saturday aswell. Seems to be in good condition drives well no known problems and has been converted to springs. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not?
