You have my sympathy, that junk seems to be everywhere these days. What we need are a list of suppliers who will not touch the stuff & a list of those who do. This would benefit all Landy owners.

i doubt there's ANY suppliers who won't touch their stuff, as long as there's people willing to pay money for it they'll be selling it

perhaps encouraging people to explicitly request that they NOT be sent BP kit when they order will eventually stop BP from selling such junk

Good idea naming those who sell sh*tpart. This is the first time I’ve bought non genuine parts. It stated replacement, along side a genuine option. Hence I was thinking equivalent replacement. Not putting the manufacture in is hiding details they probably know would put people off. Thing is I wouldn’t know the difference between oem and replacement. I can assure the price of a rear diff mount for a Freelander is just over £52. the center mount is £15 from a main dealer. If you buy the rear for £20, then I fear it will always be sh*tpart.

I am guessing the Britpart stuff is severely sub standard then yer guys ???

That & their customer service is non existant. If these guys started selling complete utter crap along with a healthy dose of bad attitude then this would be a vast improvement for them.
As Sean says, we should ask the suppliers who makes the stuff any time we buy & refuse to touch their dross.

In line with this thread, could one tell me what the best on-line store in the U.K. is for Freelander parts (both quality and pricewise??). Thanks.

I've used lrseries too several times. I also use their site to find the cost of the parts from my local main dealer. They about 1-2% more expensive. Make sure you select the genuine option. If you select replacement part, you may start a thread just like this one. Hint.
