Grease nipple sizes

Ok so I tried to grease my prop shaft today but none of the grease nipples will take grease. I took off the one on the prop shaft slide and it’s definately not blocked. The grease just comes out the side.
So my question is do Land Rovers have a funny size grease nipple?
I’ve just got a standard grease gun with the end that came with it.

I've got a couple, both standard, both fit.

Use the edge of a screwdriver or similar to push in the ball valve in the end of the nipple to free it up

I removed one nipple and pushed the end in. The grease gun is nearly new so must be worn nipples. Usually you can still pump grease through them though.

I have had problems with new grease guns which have been very cheap. I think it is poor manufacturing and have had both too loose and far to tight. As above try holding the gun square and pressing into the nipple.

+ 1 on rubbish grease guns and or nozzles.

Yeah you could be right. I used to have a really good old one but lost it in the divorce. My new one one just a cheap one. Might buy a new end for it then.

I known people fight over things in divorces but a grease gun must be a first! I knew a couple who separated and one took the CD player and the other the CDs??
