Can someone point me in the right direction to get some black rubber covers for the grease nipples on my Defender prop and UJ's please - ordered three sets now and each one is the wrong bloody size and getting a bit hacked with it now. Need some that obviously don't fly off as the prop spins.

Fankoo !

I have only ever seen them on new propshafts. None of my landrovers has ever had them in use.

Not really found it to be a problem, I just gave the nipples a good wipe with a rag before greasing.

The props used to last for decades, for me the important thing is to grease them often.

Dunno, about the Fender, but the Disco 2 wasn't fitted with grease nipples on the prop shaft sliding joints, they were fitted with little grub screws which had to be replaced with grease nipples when they were serviced. Kicked that idea into touch long ago and left nipples in permanently.
I don't have covers on them either but TBH, I'm fairly sure that in most cases bleed nipples are larger than grease nipples.

Dunno about Defenders, but Nineties had the nipples in all the time.
And so did my D2, except there were no nipples on the double UJ right by the exhaust box, which irritated the hell out of me.
