I bought a grease gun with the intention of greasing mi nipples. The prop shaft ones went well. but the nipples in the universal joints I couldn't get to with the nosel thats on the gun. Its just a mill or so too thick to get in between the joints. Do they come in different sizes, these nozels?

I've just read the post where Grunt had a similar situation. I'm pretty sure the gun I have is the same as in the pic. I'll have another go and be a bit firmer.....Thanks for the reply. I'll search harder before I post next time.

It may help a lot to jack up a wheel so you can turn the propshaft a little. This moves the two yokes a little further apart and enables most grease guns to get in - just.

I've got a couple of wanner grease guns and they wouldn't quite fit, so I took the end off and turned it down a bit in the lathe, fits just fine now :D .

You would think bloody LandRover could design a propshaft that you could get a grease gun to fit.

But apparently not. My TD5 is exactly the same.

The end of mine was pressed so I cudn't turn it down.

Wot's yer brew Dirty? a kit or a recipe of yer own . The strongest I make is between 5 and 6% and a kind of cross between Guinness and Theakstons Old Peculiar!!

This one was a kit. Coopers lager. I dont think it was supposed to be quite that strong (5.3 at most) Wife bought it me fer christmas. Did a nice bitter the first time (kit again). This is my second brew, quite pleased with it. tasted alright. Got the family blake (including the mother in law). Can't face getting under the land rover today now mi lager motivation has worn off. Although i did notice yesterday that one of the UJ grease nipples wer missing, Just a hole. I'll have to search for another.

Yours sounds like a tasty treat. I wouldnt know where to start from scratch.

Gonna sit in the sun and drink tea for a while and ponder...

Cheers.

Piece of **** reely you need a mash tun though an it take a whole evening to do it. But you get a much better brew, I reckon I can make a better pint than they sell in any of the pubs round here an it's only 12p a pint.
