got me another series 2

just got me another series 2 (1963)..with a ident crissis its got a later series 3 bulk head doors and wings with lights ..it also has the early inner head lamps but they have been disconected can i wire them up and use them with the outer series 3 one's ..legally how do i stand ? ....

i'm pretty certain that you won't be legally allowed to have all four headlights wired and working full time ...

the simplest way around this will be to have the centre pair wired via relays that you can switch the feed off to them , then at mot time you just switch the feeds off and the outer pair operate as would be normal ...

you may also find yourself attracting the attention of plod when driving around with four headlights lit which in itself "may" cause problems if your landy has an identity crisis, i'd only use all four when green laning or out of the way at night the same as driving/spot lights

There's not a lot of difference in the light output of four candles or two candles. I'd stick with the lights in the wings and get some proper driving lamps.
