I've had my landie 2.5 diesel for around 7mths now and have to admit it holds traffic up a bit on the hills, but not today!!! We got caught out in the snow in the Dales and driving back there were cars all over the place, queuing to get stuck on hills...the old thing went straight past - it didn't miss a beat, absolutely fantastic - like, what snow? and I know I shouldn't, but did I feel a bit smug! 7 mths of doing it up and it all paid off today.
Anyhow, I was so impressed, just 'googled' to see if Defenders were supposed to be good (sad I know) in the snow and got this link, claiming hatchbacks were better?????

Just wondered what guys on here thought - are defenders that good in the snow or was i just lucky in some way?
Cheers and here's to more snow.
