Hey guys and gals,

as title says, I'm after somebody to fabricate a winch bumper for me in 5 and 6mm steel. I've looked round for one that meets my needs, but couldnt find one. I was after something to fit my warn winch, but something that looks as close to standard as possible(ie it doesnt stick out really far like the genuine LR ones, and can accomodate the genuine rubber end caps)

This bumper will be built to my specs, from a drawing, to avoid ambiguity.

I did get one made by somebody from a different forum, who thought he knew what I wanted. The bumper arrived in thinner gauge steel than I specified and not as I wanted. Added to this, the workmanship was pretty scruffy.

Anyway, I'd like suggestions of somebody who you have previous experience with, who has the tools, skills and knowledge to make what I want.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike where about's are you? Maybe you can find someone local, I'm in stoke and used to doing one off fabrications. I would recommend Iannotts from what I've seen of his bits and bobs and what older posts say.

im in the same situation just got a winch buts its quite big and chunky so im goin to have to make my own.

I'm in North Scotland, near Elgin. I've spoken to Ian Notts, but he's not sure if he can do what I need.

Think I'm gonna have to produce a set of drawings, send them to a few decent fabricators, and see who will quote.

Problem is, I need 6mm steel, laser cut, with bends!
