Hi all,

Just wonder what non damaging green lanes are in the area,

I'm aware of the lane on the A419, buts that's quite short, then you cross over the road, the its like a jungle so its 200 meters and then a turn around lol,

I'm aware than non damaging aren't all that challenging, but they can still be fun,

Cheers,

find where you think you want to go on your o/s map go on to youtube type in start point n where you hope to finish up, ok the wiltshirebyways lads are on enduro bikes but it gives you an idea what there like then its up to you if you drive them

There's only about 12 BOATS in the whole of Gloucestershire. :( but there are a few White roads and ORPA's that are worth driving.

Myself & BlueBeasty have been out and about a couple of times. I think I know which lane your on about as I was following BB when he disappeared into a bush in his series

I've asked council several time with no luck in getting replies,

And the only source other than google earth I've found is Byway Map

But I'm not sure how accurate or legal some of the routes are

Starts near *location secret* and crosses the A419, walked ahead before crossing, was an instant no lol,

Really need to get hold of something that I can go off roading in and not feel bad about getting paint scratched

To the OP - Thats you Jonny. :) Can you remove the bits in your posts that include a location of lanes.

As responsible lane users we need to not give this information out easily to the morons who want to fling a load of mud around with there mates. :)

Also why is this not in the greenlane section? Mods???

GLASS is very worthwhile joining if your serious about sensible greenlaning. There has been a shake up recently with a new director or whatever they call it.(chiefy blokey wotsit)

You will only get what you put in though, dont expect them to do anything more for you than you can do now though. I donate and try to get to any events they have to try and spread the word. I have volunteered to repair byways for them in my area etc but it is a legal minefield.

GLASS wont give you lane information, they will try to advise you and help keep lanes open by fighting councils in court etc with the membership fees.

Tempting to join then just to keep them open,

Going to go down Foss Way (not that it looks all that hard) on Wednesday if anyone wants to tag along, I have a spare seat (rear is occupied by spare otherwise 5 spare seats)

in my limited time laning its worth taking time and one phone call just to make sure the lanes are open for you to drive, part of the fosse is now closed i think at malmsbury due to reckles laneing i beleave but a quick check wouldnt hurt
