I'm sure I saw something on this recently but I've searched and can't find it. What's the easiest way to get at the washer pumps on a facelift 2005 TD4. My front washer has just gone quiet and stopped working although the fuse is OK and the wipers work. Can I get at it by peeling back the inner wing liner?

Take the bumper /wheel arch screws out to half way back on the front drivers side and will then be able to pull the inner wheel arch protector back and you will see them just to note those screws are a bi of a bugger to take out sometimes on the pre face lift I ended up taking the headlight out to get at one of them

Oh - Well - That was easy - in my case there were no screws from the bumper to the flap on the engine tray ('cos I never put them back - just tuck it it) - One screw on the edge about 8" up which would not budge on a posi bit but I cut a slot across it with a junior hacksaw then opened the slot with a normal hacksaw blade and made a wide thin screwdriver to pop that off. One more plastic popper up by the first joint and that was enough to peel back the inner wing protector. I am in - Nearest pump to the rear of the car is the screen one - It's not open circuit but won't spin on 12v - ordered a Bearmach one - I will replace the rusty screw and the popper with stainless screws and washers.
Thanks again
