Well folks, I've gone from super aggressive stt pro's, to the general at2.

My god, I'm probably never buying a mud terrain again!!

I took the at2's up a beech must covered forestry track (v steep), towing a 16ft ifor with a ton and half chipper on the back, all the way way up without any probs whatsoever, and this was just after all that rain!

The noise difference on road is astonishing, I literally can't hear them above engine/gear whine, absolutely amazing! I've yet to do a fill up to fill up to test mpg, but I'm sure it'll be a 1-2 mpg improvement!

I'm just about to take them on a local greenlane, pretty steep, plenty of rocks and axle twisters so we'll see how they perform on that!

I've got to say, anyone thinking of buying a mud, if a fair amount of your driving is on road,(I know that sounds obvious but I bought muds for trailer towing on fields/off road as I couldn't compromise, but these so far don't seem to be a compromise, maybe they will be in seriously deep mud etc, but not havi g to put up with that incessant whirring of mud tyre on tarmac is heaven) go for these, brilliant tyre! :)

I'm in the process of switching from Insa Turbo MTs to Cooper Discoverer At3s. I'm hoping the improvement will be the same as you've described.

Lolz so long as you're winch equipped then I guess you'll be fine wherever you go with them :)

I’ve km3’s on my D3, 265/70/17

Are they much of an improvement on the km2 would you say? I was surprised just how loud the km2 was considering how people rave about bfg... Their all terrain is nice but very expensive... I feel with bfg your sometimes paying for the name, when plenty like general, or Cooper match them for performance and longevity, but beat them on price!

Can’t compare to km2 as I’ve never had them but against the ko2 all terrain there a noisier. Ko2 is silent whereas the km3 has a slight hum, probably wouldn’t hear it in a defender though. Where the km3 beats the all terrain is off road, last year I couldn’t get out of a field in Ireland with the ko2, had to winch but same field today using km3 drove out at near enough tick over

Just be more careful with sharp rocks, I have seen them torn up, they won’t take the abuse something with a bit of extra reinforcement will. For everything else but the most extreme they’ll be just fine though I’m sure.

Adam, have you had a reduction in your post count or something? Sure you posted a lot more than that?

Sorry for the off topic

Not a clue to be honest, have no idea what it is/was. I do expect it’s quite a few....

Good afternoon guys.

I am very impressed with the on road manners of my KM3's. Going from General Grabber RT tyres to the BFG KM3 i was surprised how little the noise increase their was. The KM3 has a softer compound than the old KM2 mud tyre to improve it on road performance.

Cheers Landy-Lee
