Gearbox ident

Any body know what series this is? I can’t find any numbers. It’s got an oil dip stick which I don’t have on my series 2. Is that an over drive at the rear?

Please forgive my ignorance but google is not helping.

have you a pic showing the intermediate gear shaft at rear of the transfer box its series 2 or before certainly and has what i believe are series 1 mountings

Is that any good? If not I’ll get some more next time I’m there. It’s been in dads shed for decades.

Looks like its got a PTO? That could be worth a bit.

The phrase worth a bit is always interesting but I’m genuinely interested in why? There’s a load of other bits in there and I’d hate to see them rust away if there going to be useful. If they’re worth keeping I’ll shift them to a nicer location and see who needs em.

Its not clear from the pic but it looks like an extra knob at the back. PTOs sell for good money but there are different types, here's an example:

no you need to be looking direct at the rear, but a series 1 box complete isnt common
