Good morning,

Range Rover Sport 2015 4.4 V8 Autobiography Diesel

A few weeks ago I got a Gearbox Fault warning and was unable to shift the car in to gear. I called a dealer and had the car recovered and fixed - by what I understand was somehting software related and sounded like a reboot.

The gearbox failt happened again last night - so tomorrow (Monday) it looks like I’ll need to call thr dealer again.

Is this a known problem and is therr anything I can do?

Cheers,

The L322 especially the late ones have to have a battery that's 100% if not they'll throw a tantrum of epic proportions.

If you're taking her to the dealer or even a mechie have the battery load tested..

Also check the Alt is working to capasity by putting a volt meter across the battery terminals while she is running..

14v and up should be seen.

But as with any RR get diagnostics on her aswell! ;)

14.7 volts minimum at 2K rpm.

Thank you gents,

I’ll do that. It is painful to have it recovered for such a minor fault.

Out of curiosity what’s the difference between L322 and L494? And isn’t mine an L494?
