Help I may be wrong in my title but bare with me

I have a Freelander 2l diesel 5 door my problem is this when I have been driving for about 6-8 miles I start to get a squealing noise starting low in volume then it increases over time to being rather loud it seems to stop for a while if I stomp on the brakes a few times and get some quiet for a while,
The funny thing is the noise starts when I turn left then goes on to squeal all the time.
The local garage has just tightened up my steering as it was very loose and replaced the bushes but this has not sorted the problem

Hi sounds either like your rear shoes are sticking on the back plate and rubbing as you drive or your front pads could have the sliders sticking or the pad anti-rattle scrapping on the disc which all off these are common faults, and if you stamp on the brakes and it goes it has to be brake related, hope this helps tiga.

feeling stupid i know i am!(homer simpson)
