Fuel Tank Sender

Hello,

I can't figure out which way around my sender unit (float mech) fits into the tank. Obviously it can only possibly fit one way around but it's still not happy! Also, like my old unit, the gauge shows the tank as being full when the arm is fully down, not lifted right up! Changing the wires round doesn't make any difference. What's going on here!?

The float goes towards the back of the tank

The float's on a really long arm though so it's impossible to have it pointing to the back of the tank. I think it's gone in now, but the float will be reaching forward to somewhere underneath my seat in the tank ofcourse! Still can't get the bugger wired up properly yet though

if you want me to check how mine is wired let me know mate!

I'm sure I posted a pic of which way round the wires go, try doing a search.

Problem sorted now sorry! I had been sold the wrong sender unit. The wires all connect in different ways on each brand though! Britpart, bearmach and land rover all have the terminals in different places!
