Hi all

Im looking for recommendations on fuel tank sealers.

Any good?

Herd any horror stories about it coming off and clogging up diesel lines?

Cheers Landy Lee

I've only used it in motorcycle petrol tanks where you have to "slosh" it around inside the tank to get it into al the nooks and crannies. I imagine that you would have to remove the tank to do this, so you may as well fit a new one.
You don't say what vehicle, but if it is a 110, you may possibly be able to get a plastic Discovery tank to fit, not straight forward, but there are plenty of them about.
As far as some sealant failing, I think this is down to the ethanol in modern petrol.

As @Rougharse Racing , the tank needs to be removed to apply the tank sealer. I've used POR-15 tank sealer in the past, it worked superbly...but this was on a fuel tank no longer available, and with the low price of a Land Rover fuel tank you'd be better off buying a new one.

Make sure you drain the tank first, as all gauges read false when the engine splutters from lack of fuel.
