Im not familiar with the 2.5na engine but after my TD5 engine rebuild I am returning to work on my project 1986 90. I have a leaky fuel pump and bought another from a member of the forum but a chance chat in the pub suggests its not as simple as unbolting one and bolting the other in its place as the pump is driven by the timing chain and things have to be aligned for removal and fitting. Is this correct? If so has anyone posted a workshop manual fro the 2.5na on line so I can do the job properly. It would also be useful to fix the broken gear selector fork as well!

2.5na is belt driven, theres is a tool for swapping the pump with belt insitu through the access hole in the front cover, though id would likely do the cam belt at the same time ,whats up with he g/box

James, thanks for that. Not looking in the engine bay at the moment but I assume that the front of the casing comes off to replace the cam belt, and if I replace that I dont need any special tools to put the other pump on? Re the gear box, i had a horrible crunch noise after I had changed gear and found myself stuck in third. Still got drive so its not clutch. Believe its the selector fork has worn through on the pivot which im told was a common fault on that gear box
