STANLOW OIL REFINERY DIRECT ACTION / GO SLOW
Location: THROUGH ELLESMERE PORT TOWN CENTRE /OIL SITES ROAD
Time: Friday, 11 March 2011 19:30

Hmm, I'm all up for fuel protests but not ****takes.

"Time Friday at 7:30pm - April 1 at 12:00am"

Well its happening.
Last time there was 150 cars and not one national TV news station or papers covered it.
Government censorship me thinks.
If you think it doesn't involve you think again, just look at your grocery bills.
Everything is transported by road, the cost has to be passed on to you, us the consumer. From a new TV to a packet of crisps.
if you still not interested just do yourself a faver and keep your tank filled up you never know.

My fuel protest is:

a) Make my own biodiesel - 2500 litres free of tax

b) Convert petrol cars to LPG - Even the ones that do 50 to 60 mpg already

Fuel is only going to get more expensive, those clever people at Toyota with the hybrids could see it coming.

The answer is simple to the fuel shortage.

Ban anyone from buying fuel if their cars have less the 8 cylinders and less than 3.5L.

I simply cannot think why no-one has thought of this before?

I agree with the fuel protest but some people are saying change to bio fuel or any other alternative do you not think that is what happened to diesel it was cheaper and once several people used it the cost went up the same will happen to any alternative fuel

eggzackly thats why LPG conversions will be a waste of time soon.

I think Lpg will be a safe bet for a while because with petrol and diesel they keep banging on about green issues and saying its to make people use their cars less while they put more tax on, Im sure its nothing to do with getting even more revenue off motorists :mad:but lpg is one of the best fuels for emissions so they will have to come up with a new reason other than green before they start hitting it with more tax.

Fill up a few bowsers of petrol park outside number 10 and light the f#€kers in short the country's next problem will be mass amounts of people filling up and driving off without paying (I may be wrong but i doubt it).

Thats what happened in Ireland.
I had a 1989 RR Vogue SE which I converted to LPG at a cost of c. £1,800.
Petrol was c. 80p & gas was around 35p. In less than a year gas was 55p while petrol had gone to 85p. It was no longer economical to use gas (read - lost my shirt on the conversion ) and on that basis it has been removed from practically every garage that had it.
Im not aware of any garage now dealing with LPG, may be corrected though!

This was posted yesterday on facebook;

"JUST TALKING ON OTHER SITES IF EVERYONE WHO CAN SEE THIS AT 2PM TOMORROW STOP YOUR CAR TRUCK OR WHATEVER FOR 15 MINS WHERE EVER YOU ARE IF APPROACHED CLAIM PEACEFULL PROTEST"

Some thing that we could all take part in.
at 2pm today.
