Right all I need to replace both front wishbones on my FL1 and want to replace the rearmost bushes too.
After searching I see that these are a bugger to remove and refit into the alloy casing but the difference in price between the bushes alone and the combined bush and casing is too great to ignore .
If I go for the bush alone I'll be getting a local agricultural workshop to remove and press in the new bushes as they have the dogs dangles of a bearing press so I ask , was the job so difficult due to the fact that a vice was employed to fit them or are the bush casings brittle or easily damaged irrespective of the method used to press them in ?

It can be done by drilling the old bushes out and pressing the new ones in using a big vice and some suitable wooden packers to stop the vice jaws knackering the metal bush housing. Not easy, but it can be done.
