Hi all. I’ve recently replaced my front wiper blades and from the off they only cleaned part of the screen. Most of the centre of the screen is being left untouched on the return sweep. So I changed the blades again thinking I’d bought a duff set but the same thing happened. Now when it rains or I wash the screen most of the centre screen is left wet. I can’t work out how to rectify this. Is it worth me changing the arms in case the springs have become weakened and not pulling the blade onto the screen? Thanks

The springs do weaken over time it might well be worth finding some new ones to replace them, what blades are you using out of interest? I bought some of the snazzy modern aerofoil things that did the opposite, middle of the screen was clear but outside edges were wet.

Hi. I bought the blades from JGS 4X4 through Amazon. They were brilliant and replaced the first set of blades free of charge. The blades were Lucas DKC100960 so the proper blades.
Think I’ll price some arms up.
Thanks for your reply.

The hinges have been well oiled and still the wipers don't cover the whole screen. I have heard about fitting D1 arms onto a D2 and then fitting flat blades. I think that will be my next move
