Front outrigger

High folks. Has anybody any idea of cost to replace a front outrigger on a 90. Also can anyone advise a place in the Midlands to have this work carried out. Thanks in anticipation

Outrigger itself is about £100 from say Rimmer Bros

Fleabay has some for c£50 - not aware of comparative steel thickness

Work involved is angle grinder to remove the old, and some fiddly welding (unless you remove the floor pan to get better access).

Just need to be careful of the wiring loom!

Suspect c£200 - £250 at a local garage, less if you find a sympathetic LZ member in need of pizza and beer

An out rigger is £33 from paddocks. they are OK i have used them before. Takes between an hour and two hours to cut out and weld a replacement in. Most times you dont have to remove the floor pan but i have had some bulkhead bolts that are totally seized and have had to cut of the supporting tube going through the bulkhead and replace that along with the bolt.

I would expect change back from £150 depending on who does it

Ahh forgot to say sometimes when you cut the out rigger of there is a nice rusty hole in the chassis that need patched before you can fit the new out rigger

These guys are good and based in Warwick..... I travelled down to get a rear crossmember fitted. Give them a call, they are not cowboys and see what they can do for you... 4x4 r us split into 2 companies last year for garage work visit 4x4 reborn 01926 258894 I think it was Steve who helped me out, very nice bloke.
