I replaced my front struts about 4 months ago and was surprised to find a hissing noise coming from the front left corner this morning.
When I jacked it up, I could not locate the leak, at first I thought it was the supply pipe as I could feel something in the region of that. I unscrewed the pipe fitting and tried to move it back a few centimetres whilst cutting the pipe off square. THE BRASS OLIVE FELL APART!!!
I managed to put it round the pipe an get the nut round it to screw it in. The leaking air noise was just the same and it can only be the strut.
Ordered a new pair straight away, but does anyone know where I can get the brass olive from, a new nut would be good too.
