Hi all.
More seat advice needed.
Been looking to add front centre seat. I can find the seat base and seat back, but cannot for life of me find any info or anyone selling seat rails for it.
Does it sit on rails or is it bolted to the box?
As always, any info appreciated.
Cheers!

Series seat rails come in sets of 4, the centre two have two brackets on them to hold the centre seat back in place and the out seat backs at the same time, the outer rails just have one bracket (if that makes sense)

See here: http://1960landroverrestoration.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/seat-belts-completed.html

The seat base sits in the gap and there are two lugs/lips secured by the bolts that hold the rail to the seatbox, these stop the base from sliding forward. so in answer to your question, there aren't specific centre seat bracket per se. If your outer seats are non standard or later Defender seats you won't have the brackets.

Make sense (I think...) but it’s not what I have.
Should have said it’s deluxe seats, slightly different rails but looks as if a seat has been fitted at some point as belt is present.

My old 90 had those adjustable seats and a centre seat fitted. It had separate runners for the centre seat, I might have a photo of them somewhere, I'll post tomorrow if I have

The4 centre seat will look exactly like the passenger seat but 2/3 the width. Its a bolt in frame with no adjustment and the seat base has blocks that drop into the frame.

The later 90 and 110s are like this and it might be the best way forward in this case. Getting one to match might be more difficult.

I have deluxe seats in my series 3, I think both the driver and passenger are on sliding rails (never sit in the passenger so cannot be sure. I will try and get some photos of the middles seat for you this evening. I do know that I do not have a bottom frame, and the seat base has some blocks of wood that sit against the ridge in the seat box to prevent it form moving.

Here are two centre seat brackets. For sale if you want them
