front brake pistons and seals

hi I have just received 8 stainless pistons part no 606683s and 2 sets of caliper seals part no aeu 1547g the problem is the fluid seal and wiper seal seem to be to large. Is there another seal kit that i should use. the disco is a 97 300 tdi commercial. cheers.

dont know about the numbers but ealier calipers were smaller than later ones so maybe the wrong pistons

Talkin through my bum again....what I meant was that defender ones pre about 92 were smaller so maybe wrong pistons.

When I did mine the local motor factor's said there were two different calipers used on Disco 1's over the year's, best bet is to get the part no. off the caliper to get the correct pistons/seal's.

There is only one type of caliper for the 300 series D1 and the part numbers you give are correct. But you are using patten parts I believe, when I last used patten parts 16 years ago the pistons and seals fitted ok but I could not fit the final retaining ring so had to leave it off.
If I had to do the job again I would go for genuine LR seals.
