Freelander Servicing Recommendation - Dundee Area

Hi Guys.

Just moved back upto Scotland from England and looking to find a good garage to service the freelander in the Dundee area. Stratstone dealer in Cupar quoted between £350 and £570 for a service on the freelander which seems obscene.

Anyone living up this way who can recommend a good local garage for servicing?

Best to bite the bullet and do your own servicing least you know it will be done right and you will save a small fortune you can search on the forum and downlaod service scedules

Sounds very familiar, back in 2003, I got quoted between £550 and £700 at Stratstone in Cupar for a standard service on my Disco TD5, previously when it was a family owned business (JBW Smith) and I bought my Freelander from them in 2001, their service costs were £160 - £190.

The quote on the disco prompted me to service it myself. Easy to do if you know the basics.

If you do need a garage to do it, Bassaguard in St Andrews seem to be good, or Clarkes in Anstruther are excellent but its a bit of a treck for you!
