Just joined this forum and would appreciate your help.
My car has stopped starting. I see there are several posts about this on this site. My "symptoms" are as follows:

My car has stopped starting. I see there are several posts about this on this site. My "symptoms" are as follows:
- Just bought new battery
- The key is giving a bit of trouble - needs a tap every now and again to open/lock the car
- It was starting perfectly until Friday last week, then an intermittent issue started = sometimes it would click like others said, then I would swap the key around, try again. I would eventually start it, so I just made a note to go have it seen to tomorrow
- Then yesterday, I went to shops, and got stuck there. Not even a click, Dead. the whole system comes on, but dead. Info screen disappears and radio - then they reappear when battery light comes back on
- I noticed today when I went back there today, the red light for the alarm indicator on the rev counter does not stop flashing when I put the key in. I think it should - am I accurate?
- From that thought, I suspect the computerized system is confused and thinks the car is still in a locked state and does not perimt the starting signal to be sent to the starter motor.
