Freelander radio code

Hi everyone,

I have the CD multichanger double-din head unit on an '05 Freelander but I have no code.

The radio currently works properly but I am concerned that if the battery goes flat or gets disconnected for some reason, I will not have a working radio.

Is there a way of finding the code from the unit as it is working, through something like a service menu, or will I need to get it out of the dash to get the serial number etc?

If it's the original radio, go to the nearest Landover main agent, give them your VIN number and they can supply the code.

I had to do that for mine. Although I later removed the unit because it sounded rubbish and didn't hook up to my phone.
