Freelander K Series Head Gasket developement

funny i was just at cleasby enginering today talking about the k series i have. he has rebuilt and repaired a few as you can imagine, one guy there used to work on rovers and i was told about the cockup people make when replacing the head gasket. he gave me sum canny advise on what to sort if probs occur and what else to renew ( which seems to sort the probs). i wasnt there for my freelander just valves for 1900 d trafic

so?, are yer gonna share or keep it all a secret?
 
burn it, said usually they advise new stretch head bolts, upgrade gasket, check or change the rad, and expansion tank cap. if the head is wharped obviously that will need sorting , but loads just chuck another gasket on and it goes in couple months. i will see when/if mine goes at some point( my luck it will)
