Hi members,
I'm new to this so please forgive me, I have a 2008 Freelander hst diesel, I drove home from work last week & all was fine until the last 100 mtrs. Display said reduced power mode but I managed to reach my drive. Parked up, let engine tick over for 5 mins, switched off & won't start now!! My local garage got it going using a squirt of easy start & carried out diagnostic! Result high pressure & low pressure fuel problems! I have got it running with a quick squirt of easy start & it drives perfectly with no issues until I stop the engine. Will not start normally again. Any info would be much appreciated.

How old are the glow plugs?

Welcome :)
Not sure how old glow plugs are? I have fitted new filter and manually pumped fuel through. While the filter was off I tested to see if the low pressure fuel pump was pumping but no fuel came through!! All points to low pressure fuel pump not working but I'm no expert? I have stripped & rebuilt a few engines in my time including V6 ford petrol and more recently a 3ltr Toyota diesel but this has stumped me!! Don't even know where the low pressure fuel pump is on Freelander HST
