all it says in Haynes is:

"The central control unit is located in the back of the fusebox below the drivers side fascia"

"The CCU is responsible for controlling the central door locking and alarm/immobilisation functions"

from this, I'm not sure it has it's own receiver, but I do recall reading something on here about an aerial for it being behind the dashboard. when I say aerial, probably only a length of cable.

what makes you think you have a problem with it ?

The Remote receiver is a module on top of the instrument panel (the sender is the bit in your hand!!!) underneath the binnacle cover.

To re-sync the remote fob to the car (needed if the battery is replaced) press either button on the fob 5 times quickly in succesion.

I had the receiver checked at landrover and was told i ned a new one at 350+vat eruo, any one know a cheaper site.

The Lucas plip (3txc & 3txa from memory) can be programmed to any vehicle. I know people in the UK who can code them and they sell the plips on eBay for a few pounds.

Try the resync procedure first.

You can also buy matched plips and receiver on eBay and simply plug in without the need to see a dealer.

Regards,

Steve
