Does anyone know where the aerial earth point is? Is it down the side of the fuse box in the engine bay? Or is that for something else? Got really crap reception on AM and FM.

I bought a booster from ebay, it has a red wire to hook up to 12v but its worse onFM.
Than it was before.

I cleaned the area where the aerial mounts to the roof and its a bit better but only just.

I'm using just a small bee sting aerial as the OE one broke, that's y I bought a booster.

I'm also getting interferance when I use other electronics such as elec Windows, there is a loud fuzzy noise or a spitting noise.

well i had an old bee sting from an old car i kept, and i like the silver/chrome effect.

Halfords sell long silver whip aerials, might give that a try.

so the only earth point is on the underside of where its mounted?

Honestly mate go for an original - the Halfords stuff is now so badly designed and built. Try a breaker if on a budget. The OE ones always tend to be built to a quality that is far better than aftermarket ones - I have seen this on VW and Mazda cars in the last few years.

When I first got my freebie I got a bee sting and it lasted 2 weeks before going in the bin. Bloody crap thing. Bought a new original one and now get more than one radio station.
