Hi all new here just got 2011 Freelander 2 24000 miles auto well all been running great until today when pops up message transmission fault traction reduced so got out locked car got back all seems fine put it drive move a little way and up it pops again also says special programmes not available could any one please help me kind regards dawn just up date AA came out could not sort it plugged it in to computer done full reset but message still there he says its got to go to landrover

There's could be a lot of faults that give that kind error, even a low or failing battery can cause it. You need to get it diagnosed by someone with the necessary diagnostic equipment.

I would think it's ok to take it to the dealer to be looked at. Normally those sorts of faults are due to low battery voltages. If you've not had it long, presumably it's under warranty, so get the supplying dealer to sort it out.
 
Hi been to garage run a check on it saying its a commutation error coming up and its the ECU on the haldex dose this seem right
 
If you Google fl2 haldex you should see there have been some issues on the haldex and the front diff bearings don't think it was an epperdemic but not unknown.
Take care that things are investigated fully and followed up.
 
Yes, if you've only had it 4 weeks, I'd take it back. The dealer can't exactly say there's nothing wrong if there is an error message on the dash!

Why "cremator10"? Is this a reference to your occupation or cooking skills?
 
Yes did tell them that after speaking to bell but they said it was a commutation error and it was the control module o haldex
