Freelander 2 TD4 starts revs dies

Hi live in Harwell Oxfordshire, I have a Freelander 2 TD4 2010, been lying up for a while, starting every 3 months and a quick drive about. This time became lumpy then would not start at all. Have replaced fuel filter that now has allowed it to start Rev and die, I can see the fuel pressure struggle to rise on a cheap diagnostic reader live data starts then dies. Am at a loss normally I get on with problems using internet youtube etc . This time I am stumped. Could any one help please.
