Hi hoping someone will know the answer to my quandary
I have recently bought A 2011 Lander 2 which has come fitted with 13pin plug and towbar , and when plugging into our old caravan. 1995.
Everything works fine lights electrics ,, all apart from the powering of the fridge.
Having just put my volt meter over the car 13 pin plug there is non power going to the fridge pin ,,
My question is before I start taking things apart, is there likely to be a fuse somewhere to check or is it possible its not even wired up as this seems to be a familiar practice with other new cars these days ..
If so can just just put an ignition relay in somewhere off the battery to said pin .. not used to these highly electronic controlled cars as my other is an old 95 defender.. and I don't want to start tinkering and balls somit up
Regards Keith

I'm not sure if the FL2 is fitted with the wiring to power a fridge as standard. I know the FL1 isn't equipped with the S wiring as standard.

The 13 pin socket will have the wiring for the fridge - pin 9 on the 13 pin socket - is there battery voltage here with the engine running?

How have you adapted the electrics from 13 pin to the split 7 pin sockets?

Pre 99 caravans have a different wiring config for the fridge from memory

i think you find it is pin 10 that is the fridge feed and 9 is the direct feed to leisure battery.
and yes i did check voltage with engine running and there is no voltage.
all i have used is the off shelf 13 pin plug to the 2 plugs for the caravan .
from wiring diagrams i have looked at the only difference from the post and pre 99 sockets is the addition of an extra earth for the fridge so i am guessing
it should still work correctly all be it its earthing through the original path still and not the additional earth

is there a black box somewhere in the boot i should be looking for to check fuses.
i was going to take back off the socket on the car to see if it is actually wired up then follow it back from there to see if its actually connected up the other end

There's a module for the tow electrics behind the LH boot trim (assuming Genuine LR electrics are fitted)

There's a few fuses added to the rear fusebox in the boot - they're marked on the label on the lid from memory or if not they're in the accessory fitting instructions on TOPIx which are free to access
