I hope someone can help! My Freelander 2 2.2 auto HSE is making a scraping noise when accelerating in gear. This is more noticeable the harder the pedal is pushed. Conversely when the car is in park and the acceleration pedal is pushed there is no such noise. I think the noise is coming from the front. There is another rubbing noise from the back left though that is different noise and I think that is most likely a ball bearing failure in the left rear wheel. Any ideas what the scraping noise under acceleration might be caused by?
