Has anyone had this problem. When I accelerate hard the car vibrates, the faster I go the harder it vibrates. Even when I drive normally there is still a slight vibration. I've ruled out wheel balance, tyres and wheels. Also the Haldex oil and filter has been changed. The car has only done 23,000 and has never been off road. Help please!!

I'd be returning it to the main dealer and let them take a look. A 4 year old Freelander with 2 years mileage on it shouldn't vibrate at any time.

Thanks for that. It' going back to the main dealer for the 3rd time. Luckily it's still under warranty. They've already changed the haldex oil filter and oil and the second time they claimed the tyres were the problem. So I got new tyres it made no difference.

Have yer taken it for a test drive with someone from the dealer in yer freelander so yer can let them know when the fault is happening so they can feel it for themselves?

Surprised they said tyres, who ever said that probably got the sack, as that's wasted money you wasted with another firm. First rule of being a stealer is to get the customer to waste a good few £K with them before wasting it elsewhere.

Ahh, my mistake, its still under warranty. The chap probably got the "customer service hero of the month" award.

I don't think main dealers set out to rob peeps

If they're a main dealer and thought it was tyres... Did they take the wheels oft and spin them on a wheel spinning machine to check the balance weights are correct?

Let's wait and see what they come up with on Tuesday, I'm ready for them.

The wheels have been balanced 3 times and made no difference, thanks for replying.

Auto or manual gearbox?
Does it do it when stationary when you rev the engine in neutral?

They are now saying it's the haldex pump. Honestly speaking I don't think they'v got a clue, but at least we've got a 18 plate evoque for the weekend. Watch this space.
Finally got the car back today. They had to completely replace the Haldex system including the pump. Drives like a dream. Thanks to everyone who responded to me.
