Well here I am after trawling through posts , I find myself posting
here goes , had the above just over two years with uneventful driving , nice comfy if large at first ,but once driven a few miles easy to drive.
Thats the pleasant bit
now it has been playing up a little over last two months and finally would not start,,first thought crankshaft sensor (changed it), MAP sensor (changed it) ,camshaft sensor changed it .
then thinking it may be fuel delivery changed high pressure pump,,,no joy so took to local garage, who then had it for 5 weeks without so much as a peep(except from horn).......electrician has by all accounts deleted ECU crash info and try to start, comes up with crankshaft sensor , bit the bullet and got genuine land rover and fitted ,,,,,,guess what no joy and still says sensor ...
now tell me how the sensor works ,is there a magnet embedded in the crank pulley or just notches .
I am now lost for direction of which to look ,,,,got auto electrician coming friday IF I dont have it sorted before............please help
