freelander 1 front prop shaft

Is it possible to replace the universal joint rather than but the expensive shaft? It looks as though it ought to be possible.

I believe the FL1 gearbox is like a fwd one so there is no front prop, just driveshafts with CVs. Unless you mean the front part of the rear prop,,,suggest you take a look at ther pics on http://new.lrcat.com/

Thanks for replying. It is the universal joint in the section of the prop that goes between the gear box and the viscous coupling. I have been told that you have to buy the whole section and that the universal joint joint can't be replaced.

Did you find http://new.lrcat.com/#!/1233/61921/62007/5062/62026 ? Looks like the same UJ for each of them on the prop

This chap supplies the bits ont line. Yer can replace just the universal joint ont prop shafts
