hi guys.. been lurking for the past few months since i bought my v plate for roughly 2000...

i know some of the questions im gonna ask would have been dealt with lots of times. some stuff i ve found out about by browsing the site but i have a few questions i havent read about and my search facility doesnt seem to work, it just says no result for every search....

im a complete unknown when it comes to cars. i ve driven my parents cars for the last few years which are all auto-lease , so the slightest problem and the car was takin to the garage and sorted pretty instantly.

im not gonna try and defend myself here either. i was conned very very badly when buying my FL. i paid 1500 for the car . i couldnt wait to buy this beautiful looking thing.

there is a list of things i ll come out with over time as i save up more money to keep fixing the problems i ve found.. the main 2 things that i "think" may be cheap or free to fix.

1st the horrible squeeking noise when i turn the ignition. i think its from a belt that powers the charge for the battery..

2nd for the last 2 weeks i ve had no heat coming out the heaters..

if anyone can help in these matters id be eternally greatfull...

Okay Lets say
1)loose aux drive belt on alternator-charges battery
2)unless it has an air lock-head Gasket Failure=no heater heat

could be a snapped heater control cable.....























nah, messing with ya, your head gaskets gone

Air lock to heater. There is a bleed screw in the top heater hose under the bonnet just in front of the bulkhead.
