:welcome2:now i got your attention

my radio 2000 vogue hk dsp alpine unit.. now i thought the amp had gone as i was getting no sound except crackling when volume turned all the way up... today i was sitting in traffic bored with no radio to entertain me so i started fiddling with the radio and with a loud pop the radio decided to work ?

turned car off half hour later when started again the bloody radio stopped working again ?? :doh:

any ideas??????

I've been having similar problems with my 2000 4.6 Vogue. I've got soooooo fed up with not having any sounds that I ordered a replacement amp from RR today - £377 plus vat! I'm picking it up on Wednesday. I'm not absolutely certain that it's the amp, but everything I've read on here and elsewhere suggests it is....

£377 + VAT I AINT BUYING ONE OF THEM :doh: halfrauds sell descent aftermarket radio fo £100

think im gonna check me wiring first

Just had an after market stereo in mine, cos the head unit was missing

had one with an ipod din connector so can pop the ipod in the glovebox and it charges and is out of sight etc

Was just over the 100 quid mark fitted

i was hoping he was 21 and married (also to a 21year old woman) and that was the free part orrrrrrrr he was wanting to get rid of a daughter, or two!!!

Well, when my AMP stop working, I tried to put an after market AMP and the radio was sending the engine noise to it. So I ended up replacing the radio too. Replace the radio and forget about the steering control, at the end is better to have peace of mind. jejeje
