i could probably borrow the money off some people, but im sure it would need a lot of work doing, im a bit overwhelmed after 5 years keeping my eye out for it, think nah it cant be in a scrap yard. and ive found it but at a bad financial time for me but like you said its my dads old 90, he fitted that engine which is still in it, he painted it that colour and he fitted the rover vitesse seats in the front, apart from some of his tools and bits and bobs i havnt really got anything of his that hes made or loved like he did the landy. im his double when it comes to love with landys as thats where i got it from, watching him build it and restore it. Would it upset me seeing it in the condition its in now? who knows but ive got to have a look

Think you finding ya dads landy has turned over a few memories and reminded you of the good times and how close you were to your dad:hug:

Doesn't look too bad to me! Beg, borrow, steal, sell your Disco - do anything, as the likelyhood is that if you let it go you will never see it again.

If it really means that much to you, you would have done it already by now though I think...

if it meant so much to you perhaps putting a few quid away each week in anticipation of one day finding it might ........

well anyways it's been ruined now so forget it

If you want it get it.
You only live once and yer Dad died young - who's to say how long any of us will be around.
Life aint a rehersal.

i cant sell disco as we got rid of my 90 2 week ago as my mrs was really struggling with using it. im goin to go and see the dealers tommorow i think, just so i can have a look at her and have a look at the condition shes in and wot needs doing. im trying to think wot my dad would want me to do but its hard as ive been without him longer than i was with him. would he want me to get in debt borrowing money to get it, when its took a long time to get out of debt. its really hard as ive only just found it like an hour ago and im a bit confused and upset more than anything

My old fella died when I was 13 mate, if I had the chance to own anything of his now, especially something he clearly loved I wouldn't be able to say no, no matter the financial hardship it would put me in, some things are more important than money.

Hope you can sort it out somehow, just think if there is an afterlife, it would sticka smile on his face.

Good luck with it,I reckon if you cant do it, dont go look at it, it would kill me if i was in that situation:(

if you go with the intention of having a look and mention your little story backed up with the pics maybee the owner might let u have it a little cheaper its worth a shot but if it was me id be buy meself a little black book to store the information of who i owe what from borrowing the money then work me ass off to pay it back
i suppose ill never find A85 BEC again and certainly never find KNC495V coz i had a mate search for that car on the dvla database and it was scrapped in 2000 i say get the fekker as it might be ure last chance

in a way im happy just to see her still on the road and the hard work my dad put into it contributed to that. maybe if i go see her it will put my mind to rest who knows, like my mums just said he wouldnt want you to get in debt to get it. and yes i should have maybe put money a side on the off chance i found her.

oh get a grip it's a few ton of rusting steel - would you risk your house and your ability to keep your kids warm and fed just for a old landy

let it go and just be happy it's still all in one piece
